When does registration close?

ALL registrations for custom Bib close on May 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm MST

No matter the event you're in—3, 6, 12, or Last Man Standing (LMS)—Your Timing Chip will be issued the day of the race.

LMS Runners will be able to collect timing chip between 630a and 750a race morning, race starts at 8am

3 hr runners will be able to collect timing chip between 750a and 850a race morning Race starts at 9 am

6 hr runners will be able to collect timing chip between 850a and 1050a race morning Race starts at 11a

12 hr runners will be able to collect timing chip between 850a and 1150a race morning Race starts at 12 noon

When and where is RACE PACKAGE PICK UP?

Friday, June 1 at 4:00 to 8:00pm at Cranked the

My race doesn't start at 9am on Saturday. Do I still need to pick up my race package on Friday?

We would prefer you to pick up on Friday but we also understand.  ​

When can I set up my tent? Can I use stakes or tent pegs?

Saturday June 12 at 7:00am. Our team will be on site at 6:00am  TO SET UP OUR EQUIPMENT, please respect this rule.

Absolutely NO STAKES OR TENT PEGS are allowed!! No exceptions due to the irrigation system at this facility.

If you're aiming for this and/or an official record (age/gender/national), please contact your national running organization. Here in Canada, it's the Association of Canadian Ultramarathoners. Please contact them to confirm your standards, then let us know—we’ll handle ACU paperwork and MCM Timing validation.

The 24 Hour event starts at 8:00 a.m. (MST) on Saturday, June 13, 2025

The 3 Hour event starts at 9:00 a.m. (MST)
The 6 Hour event starts at:11:00 a.m. (MST)

The 12 Hour event starts at:12:00 p.m. (MST)

Awards- as this is a Lastman Standing event, there is only 1 winner everyone else technically DNF's 

However backyard ultras are built on a 100mi model, if you do 24 loops or more you will earn the coveted 100mi buckle!

100 mi Buckles - will be presented after we have a official Last man Standing

 We do award the Al Howie Award to the athlete who covers the most loops.  If you don't know who Al was check out the link below or ask his friend Bill Justus who happens to be one of the Race directors
